What We’re Building

Queer Matriarchs is a growing community for Black queer mothers who want deeper connection, shared learning, cultural grounding, and space to build the lives and legacies that matter to us. We gather with care, intention, joy, and mutual respect—strengthening ourselves and the villages we nurture.

The Queer Matriarch Arc

The Queer Matriarch Arc is an invitation to consciously step into the fullness of who we are becoming as Black queer mothers. We land on the Arc when we choose to approach our lives, families, relationships, homes, resources, culture, and legacy with greater intention.

There is no single starting point, age, family structure, or destination. Across new motherhood, active parenting, grandmotherhood, elderhood, and every stage in between, we practice the Arc through care, leadership, reflection, culture-making, stewardship, and the choices that shape what we pass forward.

Queer Matriarchs brings mothers across the Arc into connection so that wisdom, questions, creativity, memory, and shared life can move among us.

For Black Queer Mothers

Queer Matriarchs is being built first with and for Black queer mothers in metro Atlanta. We welcome mothers across life stages, family structures, and experiences who are seeking meaningful connection, shared growth, and a chance to help shape what comes next.

Founding Circle

A Founding Circle is forming in metro Atlanta. This early gathering will bring together a small group of Black queer mothers for conversation, reflection, connection, and shared imagination about what Queer Matriarchs can become.

A Note From the Founder

I created Queer Matriarchs from a desire for deeper, more sustaining community among Black queer mothers—community where we can be fully seen, share what we know, learn from one another, and build stronger lives for ourselves, our children, and the people we love.

This is an invitation to gather with intention and help shape a living community rooted in care, culture, possibility, and legacy.
